I am a social epidemiologist and a current postdoctoral scholar in Epidemiology at Stanford University, studying social exposures and disparities in cognitive resilience, dementia, and psychosocial health in older adults.
My research focuses on:
-
Disentangling sociodemographic differences in the relationship between formal education (degree attainment, access, school quality) and cognitive aging as a potential driver of dementia disparities
-
Identifying how social factors experienced across the lifecourse help older adults to maintain cognitive functioning after the onset of disease, such as stroke, and other adversity
